Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz

Prince Muqrin is the former Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. He was born on September 15, 1945.
He is the youngest surviving son of King Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and for 3 months he was Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia in 2015.
In 2014 he was named Deputy Crown Prince, making him second in the line of succession behind his brother King Salman bin Abdulaziz. In 2015, upon King Abdullah’s death and the accession of Salman, Muqrin became Crown Prince and first deputy prime minister. However three months later King Salman replaced Muqrin with Prince Muhammad bin Nayef.
Military Service
Prince Muqrin served in the Royal Saudi Air Force in the Second Squadron of Aviation from 1970 until 1973. Later, he served in the Third Squadron as a Lightning aircraft instrictor.
He was appointed as the commander of the Seventh Fighter Squadron in the Royal Saudi Air Force.
In 1977, he was appointed as an assistant to the Director of Air Operations and the Chief of the Operations and Planning Department in the Royal Saudi Air Force.
