Tangmere 1968
In this Pathe News video 19 year-old Prince Charles walks out to fly in WP 903 a Chipmunk of the Queen's Flight distinctive in customary red livery. His father, Prince Phillip Duke of Edinburgh, had learned to fly on this very aeroplane.
In the video his instructor, Squadron Leader Philip Pinney* checks over the aircraft along with Prince Charles after which they take to the air.

WP 903 is beautifully preserved in an airworthy state and is part of the Shuttleworth collection at Old Warden Airfield Bedfordshire.
